The Highway Help Program was implemented by the Ontario Association of Chiefs of Police (O.A.C.P.). The Highway Help Program is a Province-wide police effort to help increase the safety of stranded motorists and vehicles along a highway or in any other situation when the driver of a vehicle feels unsafe or vulnerable. By placing the sign on the window of your vehicle, you can safely alert passing motorists without ever leaving your vehicle.
The Highway Help sign is made to hook onto your vehicle and protrude into traffic. Vehicles travelling in either direction can see the sign and its reflective strip makes it visible during all hours of the day. The sign is constructed of a high quality rigid plastic, which can be used time after time and is recognized and supported throughout the Province of Ontario by all police services.
There are three easy steps motorists should follow to alert the police to a situation where another motorists is stopped and displaying a "Highway Help" Call Police sign.
