Chief for a Day Participant - Alex Cornelisse - December 19, 2005

Alex Cornelisse is a grade 6 student in Mr. Fralick's class at St. John Bosco School. His favourite subject in school is Phys Ed. Alex is graduate of the Brockville Police Service VEP program. Alex is interested in the military. He collects military medals and other military memorabilia. He is involved in many extra curricular activities. He plays basketball, hockey, and baseball. Alex is also a Brockville Braves fan. His favourite sport is basketball.

Chief for a Day Cornelisse visited the Detective Office at Police Headquarters and photographed Det. Sgt. Fraser, Chief King and Det. Cst. Ladouceuer.
Chief for a Day Cornelisse inspected the cell area and tried out the bench in one of the cells.

Alex toured Police Headquarters with Chief King, met members of the staff and learned about the various jobs in the police service. Alex enjoyed lunch at Boston Pizza with Sgt. Locke. After lunch, Alex joined Sgt. Locke on patrol. He visited City Hall and met the substitute Mayor and Lillian, who gave him a City hat and keychain. Alex also met Councillor Severson at Severson Cleaners. Alex also went with Sgt. Locke to TISS, Vanier, and St. John Bosco. Alex and Sgt. Locke found a lost dog and returned it to the owner.
