Downtown Safe Community Centre

The Brockville Police Service share their downtown C.O.P.S. office (Community Oriented Police Storefront) in City Hall as a Safe Community Centre. The C.O.P.S. Safe Community Centre is shared with the Brockville Safe Community Coalition of Brockville and District, and the W.S.I.B. (Workplace Safety and Insurance Board).

The C.O.P.S. Safe Community Centre is used by members of the Brockville Police Service downtown Beat Patrol Unit for patrol officers and detectives to conduct interviews and as an operating base for Bike Patrol and Marine Safety Patrol in the summer season.

The Downtown C.O.P.S. Safe Community Centre is a highly visible indicator to the community, in particular, downtown merchants, of a continuing commitment to meeting identified needs through community policing initiatives as "Partners for a Safe & Healthy Community".
