Chief Adrian Geraghty's Biography
Chief Geraghty’s 34+ year career has been with the Brockville Police Service. During that time, he has held numerous positions within the Brockville Police Service, which included the first officer to implement Neighbourhood Watch in the City of Brockville, Special Traffic Officer, Officer in Charge, Court Bureau Court Case Manager, Platoon Supervisor and Staff Sergeant in charge of Operations.
Chief Geraghty is a graduate of numerous courses with the Ontario Police College and the Canadian Police College. He also holds an Ontario Management certificate from St. Lawrence College in Brockville and a Police Management Level I diploma from the Ontario Police College. He also graduated from the Commanders and Negotiators course at Canadian Police College. In 1994, Chief Geraghty received the Police Exemplary Medal form the Governor General of Canada.
Chief Geraghty is currently involved in a number of committees within the City of Brockville, including the Traffic Safety Committee, Riverfest Committee, and Health and Safety Committee. He has coached youth soccer for 27 years, and has been the Media Relations Officer for the Brockville Police Service.
Chief Geraghty, a strong advocate of Community Policing, is active in community events and is always available when the need arises to help out.
Chief Geraghty is a member of the Canadian Association of Chiefs of Police, Ontario Association of Chiefs of Police, the Brockville Rifles Officer’s Mess, and St. John's Ambulance.
Adrian is married to Pat, has four married sons and eight grandchildren.
