Message from Chief Gardiner
On behalf of the dedicated men and women of the Brockville Police Service, I am very pleased to present the 2012 Brockville Police Service Annual Report. Our new reporting format is a concise review of our activities and an opportunity to share this information with our community.
The Brockville Police Service is the longest serving Police Service in the Province of Ontario and this year celebrated 180 years of dedicated service to our community. To honour this significant milestone, a commemorative pin was struck and presented to each member of the Police Service. I am very proud to lead the men and women of the Brockville Police Service and I thank them and the community for their continued support.
Brockville remains one of the safest communities in Canada and this success can be attributed to the outstanding service and professionalism of our members. By being responsive to community needs and continuing to provide leadership and being accessible and accountable, our police service has worked proactively towards our mission of maintaining a standard of excellence in professional conduct and community service. By being fiscally responsible, preventing and solving crime, our members work diligently to continue to provide excellent policing services. Members of the Brockville Police Service know their community and this has significantly assisted us in reaching our goals and truly be partners for a safe and healthy community.
I invite you to review the 2012 Annual Report and learn more about your Police Service.
John S. Gardiner, U.E.
